(I went with QHY since I prefer to buy Taiwan-made products instead of from China. Especially now that TSX has live stacking. If I could get my QHY cameras and EFW (which is a ZWO mini-EFW) to work via TSX on the Mac I'd be all set and could capture only with TSX thus eliminating the need for SharpCap. I was wondering which of these options you experts may have a view on which would work best for me, not only with my current equipment but also keeping in mind future needs that may arise (i.e., most AP software works on Windows for instance):ġ. I do have an older Mac that is broken right now but I was going to get it fixed and I was wondering if I should do a dual boot with Windows on it and use that instead of buying a new Windows machine. Today my Windows machine was a bit laggy and I'm always concerned it will die (it's a six year old small laptop and I've already had to re-install Windows on it once). I largely use QHY products for cameras - mainly QHY163M and QHY247C cameras for capturing. ![]() Right now I use a Windows machine for capturing (using SharpCap) and a Mac with MacOS with TSX for driving my MyT. I really would like to have everything be done on a Macbook of which I have a few that are loaded. I'm writing because I am trying to figure out if I can do a one-stop solution to the way I do AP in terms of the computing device. ![]() I'm picking up right where I left off with sh2-132 (I posted some half done images last fall, now adding more data). I posted earlier about being busy with COVID-19 and we have that under some control and I've lubricated my MyT and today it is taking spot-on 5 minute unguided captures with my FC100DF - except for the clouds, it's going well. This is my first AP-related post this year I believe. Nevertheless, even with the best effort we can’t test all cameras, so please download a trial version and test it with your camera before buy it!
